All SEO services, digital marketing, social media services are available and useful for any type of business.  The difference being in your individual business goals and budget.  Those tow variables will determine the scope of work needed as well as timeline to deliver the best results.  For some industries with a high-level of competition twelve months is needed to reach the top positions regardless of budget resources, in other industries 6-8 months would only be needed.

Budget

Regardless of what some SEO companies will admit (some will say anything to close the deal), budget is a big factor to you getting the best results online. If you take two businesses in the exact same industry, targeting the exact same geographical area, with the exact same goals, the business with a bigger budget will win. This scenario, no matter how unlikely is suitable to demonstrate that one can afford to produce and market more content, buy more ad space, acquire links at a faster pace, etc. Just using paid advertising (PPC) as an example if you can afford to spend more on ads your ads will show more often and afford more clicks before hitting the billing threshold.

That being said, how the money is allocated is just as important if not more.  Some agencies have extremely high overheads that eat up much of your budget and because you’re dealing with an account manager who has no specialty expertise, is allocating budget on activities that will never move the needle.
